World Water Day 2015 celebration at ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar 23rd March 2015, Bhubaneswar
World water day 2015 was observed at ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar with the theme on “Water and sustainable development”on 23rd March 2015.
Dr. A.S. Kereketta, a renowned scientist of Regional Medical Research Centre (Indian Council of Medical Research), Bhubaneswar was the invited speaker and she delivered a talk on “Water for Health”. In her speech she narrated all possible illness and disorders in human due to inappropriate quantity and quality of water. All the possible means and measures were discussed such what is to be done and what should be avoided. The collaboration of scientists of ICAR-IIWM and RMRC for carrying out research in different possible aspects was also discussed.
In his speech, Dr. S.K. Ambast, Director of the institute, emphasized on different research and developmental aspect in the field of agricultural water management. He spoke on water and sustainable development through appropriate water conservation and its judicious use.
